You're absolutely right. As long as the cliche "infectious grooves" isn't used, you'll be fine. I can't stand reading that statement in every other bio I get. Just make sure the band name/logo is BIG. You want people to remember the name. That's all that matters with this subject.
Sorry if I stepped on your toes there.

Sorry if I stepped on your toes there. oh that's all right...I just felt like ranting about how geigh most band bios are... even the latherfest sight had a couple of doozies on there... i liked Tori's paste job because it combined our sense of self loathing with a few typical bio facts.

That looks good. Fine Job. yeah....I'm actually entertaining a notion that we might be considered for this show at the Broadway Oyster Bar. hey Trapper...you should write something about us and we can put it in the press reviews or whatever and credit you as being with Homegrown Music... I thought about having WarrenG and Toga pen some stuff too and just making up cool fake newsletter or magazine names to say they were from... and who cares anyway because no one ever looks into the credibility of sources on the internet anyway. or just write a little quote and I'll just put that in... anyone for that matter

Sounds like a good strategy. Let me whip out your album first to try to get some creative juices flowing. I'll get back with you tomorrow night if I have some time at work. Have you tried to contact James Mullins? He's the guy who does Stumble in the Dark on one of the St. Louis stations up there. I can get more information if you need it. He might be able to slip you guys in, or at least give you a small writeup, possibly. His radio program is part of the Homegrown Music radio promotions program. Homegrown sends out 3-6 discs out every month to about 100 indie/npr/public/college radio stations. I was part of this for about 3 years in South Carolina. So I received all of these discs, listened to them, recommended songs, and drove them over to the classic rock station (WROQ), where some were played on the Sunday night 2 hour "Fresh Tracks" program. A lot of people started listening to this. Even the older classic rock crowd. You probably have heard Stumble in the Dark before. I think it's on Tuesday nights. The best program you can get is on www.wncw.org on Wednesday nights. Uncle Dave plays 4 hours of Dead related stuff. The name of the program is "Dead Air". You can catch it tonight if you go to the website. Just before Dead Air, David Gans hosts his hour of Grateful Dead. WNCW is the best station I have ever listened to. They play just about everything. Sorry, another tangent.

Besides, You really shouldnt be so hard on yourself. I bet you could totally kick his ass, because he wouldnt / shouldnt hit a girl.

I bet you could totally kick his ass, because he wouldnt / shouldnt hit a girl. i would like to see a really good fight, too. however, i have no skills. it isn't that he would hit a girl (he's mean, he'd do it) its that i lack the coordination to even successfully land a punch. so, problem solved, you fight him and we'll all watch. ready, set, go...
