THIS JUST IN:
Kurt Angle wins the World Heavyweight Championship January 10, 2006
Kurt Angle won the World Heavyweight Championship tonight at the SmackDown television taping in Philadelphia.
In one of the most shocking moments in recent SmackDown history, RAW's Angle walked out from the locker room area and into the SmackDown ring to compete in the Battle Royal ordered by General Manager Theodore Long.
The addition of Angle to the Battle Royal clearly caught many Superstars off guard, and he became an immediate target of the SmackDown roster. In fact, Mark Henry even threw Angle through the announce table at ringside. Angle was able to withstand the attack, however, and in the end Angle last eliminated Henry to be crowned the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Afterwards, Angle celebrated in the ring while the audience in Philadelphia looked on in total amazement.
Of course, the crowning of a new World Heavyweight Champion was ordered after an injured and emotional Batista was forced to surrender the title earlier in the night due to injury.
Be sure to watch SmackDown this Friday night on UPN to watch this truly historic event unfold.

RVD & Sabu busted in Ohio for drugs Submitted by lordsofpain on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 1:20 PM EST From www.irontontribune.comWrestling stars busted in Hanging Rock By Kirsten Stanley/The Ironton Tribune HANGING ROCK - Two wrestling superstars from Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment may be tough in the ring, but they didn't have enough muscle to escape drug charges after being stopped Sunday night by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Robert Alex Szatowski, aka WWE and ECW champion Rob Van Dam, and Terry Michael Brunk, aka Sabu, also a former ECW champion, were pulled over on U.S. 52, near Patrick Street in Hanging Rock at about 10:15 p.m. The two were apparently driving from their performances at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena earlier in the evening. According to the OSHP, Szatowski was initially stopped for speeding. When troopers approached his vehicle, they smelled marijuana and performed a search. Troopers found the wrestler in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin, prescription pain pills. Brunk was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also had nine pills that were not immediately identifiable, but were known to be controlled substances, according to the OSHP. Both were cited and posted bond at the scene. Szatowski, of Battle Creek, Mich., has had a long, successful career with both the WWE and ECW. In addition to being the current champion of both, he has been intercontinental champion six times, hardcore champion four times and has been a part of several championship tag team duos. He is scheduled to wrestle tonight on WWE Raw and is also wrestling Tuesday night to retain his WWE and ECW titles during the "Extreme Rules Match" on the Sci-Fi channel. Brunk, who lists his hometown as Bombay, India, on the WWE Web site, has also had a successful career with the ECW, earning world heavyweight championship titles two times and tag team championship honors three times. Both Brunk and Szatowski are scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court. Both wrestlers won their matches last night in Huntington, W.Va. Van Dam defeated the Big Show and Sabu defeated Justin Credible. www.irontontribune.com

Meet the Hardy's L to R: Joel Toga, Tymm Toga, WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy, WWE Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy, Niccy Noga (aka Birthday Boy) They were very nice, but you could tell they were ready to get on the road. Matt's a lot taller than I imagined. I mean...I'm close to 6 feet tall, so he's like 7 feet tall or something. They stuck around and signed autographs and took pics with anyone who wanted them. Even us. Shortly after this pic was taken we booked an impromptu tag match between the Hardy's and the Johnson Brothers. After a little interference from myself...Nic and Joel are now the WWE Tag Team Champions...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! photo courtesy of Lyndsay Toga

(and you can tell your hairy brother that his secret is safe with me, i won't tell a soul that he is a cross-dresser. but when he starts borrowing katie's dresses over her cool uncle-jesse-have-mercy tshirt, the cat is totally going to be out of the bag.) and, my final question... photo courtesy of Lyndsay Toga was it a nice ceremony? i canNOT believe i was axed from the guest list...

"The following is compiled from several live reports sent in from fans who attended last night's WWE RAW from Oakland, California:
-- Former Ring of Honor champion Brian Danielson defeated Lance Cade in a dark match. Danielson was billed from Oakland and won the night's 10-minute opener with his submission finisher, Cattle Mutilation. Danielson was said to have looked great during the match and had the crowd behind him."
Way to go, American Dragon. I've heard the E was interested in him before his extended title reign with RoH. I wonder if they're scouting him again or if it was a one time shot.
