Artist Info Update:
My name is Tymmy Toga. You can call me Tymmy Toga, Tymm, Toga, Tymm Toga, T. Vogue Champagne, Toga Man, T.T., Tymmy-T, Tymm-O-tee, Jungle, or just T.
I tasted fame early, starring in several original Bylly Toga Productions, which were shot silently on 8mm film. Modern classics such as Vogt's and Overby's go to Busch Stadium, Timmy and Dennis Put on Rock Show, and Katie is a Ballerina, Tim Wields a Sword played in a local Home Theater consistently from the late seventies into the mid-eighties. As impressive as my run in the motion picture industry may have been, VHS brought about what seemed to be an end to my days in film.
In the early 1980's, it was the rise of the audio cassette tape and Ghetto Blaster that would once again change the life of a young Tymm Toga. With the new recording technology at my fingertips, I explored artistic outlets such as pre-recorded radio shows and mix-tapes. The radio shows included everything from interviews with top artists of the day to original songs like, Man With the White Glove (a very rare mt.scally collector's item). Later, in the mid-80's, audio and film were coupled in the form of video/audio recording devices. In those glorious days I starred mostly holding my little brothers up for the camera, Christmas Pageants, and in commercials for businesses of my own creation - early versions of infomercials. Also, I operated several moderately successful lemonade stands.
I first discovered the rock n' roll lifestyle first-hand with Krakin', a mt.scally outfit consisting of myself, "Iron Man" Gaddis, "Goliath" Lueker, and "Candleman" Lapsansky. We played prestigious gigs such as the unforgettable Andrasko Backyard Birthday Pool Bash. Since those early days I've been a part of many supergroups; Potentially Fatal, Terminal Bliss, Vogt & Rice, Rice & Vogt, Rice, Vogt, Nash, & Hall, The Brad Zirchelbach Jam Sessions, Soap, Rotten Apple Head, Toga & Mylk in the Kitchen...just to name a few.
When I'm not working or thinking, I'm usually thinking about working. The only other two things I do are sleep and dream, and I never dream while I sleep. My hobbies include many interests, such a collecting, being comfortable, and zen buddhist meditation. I also enjoy turmoil and sunset walks on the beach. My favourite kind of food is hot. Lastly, when I'm not living by other phrases, I always try to remember what St. Louis native and former Yankees catcher/philosopher Yogi Berra said, "The difference between practice and theory is that what works in practice always works in theory...but what works in theory doesn't always work in practice."
