As a team the Cardinals belted four long balls today against Cincinnati (Pujols-2, Rasmus-1, Molina-1 [grand slam]). Chris Carpenter got the win as the Red Birds went on to win 11-6.
Meanwhile, central division rivals - the Cubs - had a tough go at it, losing to the Atlanta Braves 16-5. For his efforts Carlos Zambrano was rewarded with a 54.00 era!!! Is that even a real number? Let's hope the veteran hurler can work on that stat as the year progresses!
